Ladies Get Car Care Aware at the Women and Wheels Car Care Clinic

The Women and Wheels Car Care Clinic took place at Full Circle Service Center on Saturday, June 25th and the women were “all in.” After having a few refreshments and finding out about how the auto repair shop helps fund the mission of Vehicles for Change, the women reviewed their Car Care Aptitude Quiz with Full Circle Lead Instructor, Wayne Farrar. Although, there were no perfect scores, there was a perfect opportunity to get the answers they needed.

The clinic was very interactive and started with a look under the hood then the ladies got a crash course in jumper cable placement. The ladies also learned about their indicator lights and when or if it’s ever okay to purchase used parts. The clinic illustrated the difference between good brakes and bad brakes and took the ladies under the car to see the parts that are not often seen. The final demonstration gave Women and Wheels participants the opportunity to learn how to change a tire. The ladies dug in to understand exactly how to use the jack to take off the tire as well as learning how to secure the lugnuts once the tire has been changed.

As the event drew to a close, two entries were selected for a car care emergency kit and a $25 gift certificate to Full Circle Service Center. The ladies also expressed their gratitude and how much they learned at the event. Winning…definitely winning!
